Origins of Replication Across Cell Types
This digital painting was created for a professor of genetics at Louisiana Tech University. It depicts the differences in the origin of replication in prokaryotic cells with circular DNA versus eukaryotic cells with linear DNA. Additionally the bottom of the diagram shows an up close look at the machinery of the origin of replication in eukaryotic cells. The illustration was my first ever science communication artwork, and my style and knowledge has changed a lot since creating it. This work was inspired by a diagram available in the creative commons.
